Since my former colleagues at @a16z are RIAs and thus cannot legally comment on what they can/cannot say "with a straight face" to LPs, this sounds a lot like what crappy board members say. They think they understand your business in depth and make inane comments about what you should/should not do, when as an outside observer, they have zero clue what actually happens day-to-day in the business. Buyer beware.

I’d move on. It’s much easier to start with the shotgun strategy and become a sniper once you have an edge (distribution, market knowledge, etc.) I’ve been to dark places focusing too early on a project, much more than shipping tiny bets nobody cared about. Life is fun when you play often. So ship more!

Thank you all for joining my stream today! 🫶 Had hundreds of people watching, which is amazing! Today, we got to build the UI for a new SaaS using @rocketdotnew. I messed it up a bit with the @supabase integration because the project was already created (I wanted to cheat a bit lol), so then it went a bit sideways and had a hard time bringing it back on track 😬 Lesson learned for the next experiment! Hope you enjoyed the stream nonetheless, and I'll be making another one soon (if you did lol). 🫶
