Another great @a16z finance demo day in the books, this time at @NYSE 🏛️

200+ CFOs and partners joined us as we talked through how AI has changed the CFO stack. Our founders showed demos and brought to life how AI is bringing together better, more comprehensive data and automation to make teams smarter and more efficient. The new AI software and the interest and adoption amongst finance buyers has been a real sea change.

the most common mistake i've seen younger founders make in hiring their first set of execs: not investing time upfront in defining the role (e.g. the role scope, what year 1 success looks like, talking to SMEs)

it seems like a lot of extra "homework" when you want to move fast, but can be super costly because you're search can take a lot longer and can lead to mis-hires

Assuming the model companies can touch every market and, more importantly, *do it well*, and that the advantage to being multi model is limited feels a lot like sitting out the last 20 years because Google/Amazon/Facebook could be the only winners
