the most common mistake i've seen younger founders make in hiring their first set of execs: not investing time upfront in defining the role (e.g. the role scope, what year 1 success looks like, talking to SMEs) it seems like a lot of extra "homework" when you want to move fast, but can be super costly because you're search can take a lot longer and can lead to mis-hires
