Wow Atlassian did it again, they officially killed Loom.

Can't watch a video the 2nd time without logging in.

Optimizing for some weird shit metrics that the PMs think will look good on their performance review.

And I'm on a webview in a 3rd-party app, they probably don't know how annoying it is to log in in this state. Even if I log in now, the next Loom link I click will ask me to login again because it is a fucking webview with no permanent cookies.

Looking for an alternative now.

Rant over, thanks for reading 😂

One of the consistently weird thing I experience with hotels anywhere is when they ask you for feedback

Or well maybe it's my misunderstanding that they ask for feedback

I remember the hotel manager would stand in the lobbby of Kimpton Maa-Lai in Bangkok and talk to the guests every day, and he talked to me and @AndreyAzimov

"How do you like your stay? If there's anything you don't like, please let me know"

And of course we had a list of feedback of things that could be improved, he then said

"Thank you. If there's anything you don't like, please let me know"

Like some fucking robot? We were kinda flabbergasted, we just told you?

Another hotel I gave feedback "The coffee takes 20 minutes to arrive at breakfast, I think because there's only 1 person staffed at the coffee machine"

"We're terribly sorry to hear your stay has not been perfect, we have put a handwritten card in your room, a bottle of red wine and fresh fruit"

Okay but that how does that solve the coffee situation 😂

It's like some collective hotel school psychopath training that thinks the best reaction to customer feedback is to flat out ignore it and instead give the guest some free stuff

Maybe it's because I'm in startups and if my customer gives me feedback, I try immediately fix it so the next customer doesn't have the same problem

Which for me as a customer makes me feel more happy too, I like to improve the experience of a product or service, for myself (so it's better next time) and for other people too

Very interesting

A week ago, I had one of those moments that I’ll never forget.

We went to a concert, and after it, took a big group of friends and family members (12+ people) out to dinner.

Had a great time, amazing food, cool vibes, lots of laughs.

At the end, when the bill came, I quietly paid for everyone.

The surprise on their faces when they realized it was... priceless!

A few years ago, this wouldn’t have been possible.

It's one of those moments that remind you why you work hard in the first place.

I’ll remember that night forever!

And I hope to be able to do it again. 💜

how is opus 4.5 performing for everyone today?

seems much better and more stable for me this morning and wrote a very decent laravel service to scrape sitemaps

did forget to write tests though, which gpt-5 generally just does without being asked!

TLDR; I make software with AI and talk about it. Serial internet biz builder with multiple 6 & 7 figure exits. Always learning.

I feel like its weird people think they are quantizing frontier models - It's near 100% imo that they are all running on fp4 already and anything less is not optimized for nvidia gpus and I'd assume tpus and trainium etc etc
