A lot of people tearing each other down on here lately.

I’m not perfect.. I’ve definitely typed out and had some nasty, clever, banger tweets.

But I try to stop myself before hitting "Post".

Often criticism or judgement comes from insecurity, even when it feels morally justified in the moment.

It may feel good to get lots of likes, dopamine, and validation on a snarky post.

But IMO it secretly does a lot of reputational damage.

I'll share a small example: there was a founder who attacked another founder on here years ago.

They've reached out to me to be interviewed on starter story.

I pass on them every time, even though it's a great story, because I don't wanna touch them with a 10 foot pole.

With Starter Story I’ve always tried to lean the other way: highlight people, bring them up.

Not perfectly. I’ve tweeted things I regret too.

But I’ve never once regretted not posting something, closing the app, and getting back to work.

Effortlessly achieve perfect alignment with LichtFeld Studio.

See our Splatshop-inspired alignment feature in action.

Simply select three points, and watch as the splat magically aligns itself to the world coordinate space.

We sincerely appreciate the incredible support from our corporate sponsor, Core11 GmbH. The link to their homepage is in the comments. If you need professional GPU dev support, check out their services.

We welcome any additional support to sustain this project, so please feel free to reach out!

this is a really interesting point - as models get more intelligent and more efficient you can raise prices + cut costs (expanding margins)

much harder to disrupt a brand / network / scale effect of a competitor

I have a theory about this. This was a volume play. These things are sort of undercooked & small, & were clearly baked at least early yesterday if not the day before. She is just baking & stacking & trying to go for quantity.

My kids won't eat them, either. Everyone agrees that even the Pillsbury canned ones would be a lot better. What a catastrophe.

For lack of better ideas for #procjam, I was going to remake my old Fantasy Manor (basically, a roof generator). After spending a day on it, I realised that it was boring, so I still need to come up with something. But Dwellings are going to have better roofs now.

Procgen enthusiast: cities, dungeons, tarot, castles... antlers!... and other fascinating stuff. Many years ago I made Pixel Dungeon.
