Before AI, a company having a really nice, custom landing page was a reasonable signal of legitimacy.

These days it tells you almost nothing.

Just re-upped @ThePledge for 2025.

If you get value from open source projects, donating a small fraction of your income is a fantastic way to give back to those people whose work you depend on.

Thanks to all the open source maintainers who have helped make my career possible!

I have been going back and forth with a huge company that wants to use SaaS Pegasus for more than a month. They started with a "negotiation" vendor. Got 3-4 other parties involved. Lawyers. Multiple EULAs. Red lines. Have been using AI constantly to even understand what we are discussing.

I really thought it'd eventually end with a big enterprise-deal payoff, but it's looking like they're gonna get a $999 license like everyone else.

Lesson learned.

I've been trying to get in the habit of building more AI / agent automation in my life.

Basically, every time I'm faced with a chore like upgrading dependencies, resolving a merge conflict, writing release notes, etc. I ask: Could an agent do this? If so, I write the pronts/tools I need to make it happen and force myself to do it that way.

So far it's been a huge time suck. Because getting the AI to do it well takes way longer than doing it myself. But as the library of things it can do grows I'm optimistic it'll pay off big down the road.

Find myself referring to this chart a lot...
