One side effect of my alarming addition to coding agents is that I work every single day until my eyes are too tired to read anything. And so even though I’ve always been dismissive of audiobooks and listening as an inferior, slower way to absorb information, with dramatically worse comprehension and retention (all of which is unfortunately still true in my case), it’s now the only way I can realistically consume certain kinds of content, since I can do it with my eyes closed in bed. And so, surprisingly to me, one of my most-used apps now is the Eleven Labs reader app. You can paste in a link to an article or book or just some random text and have it read to you in a pretty natural, inoffensive way. I’m partial to the “George” voice, but they have so many to choose from that you can surely find one that you don’t find annoying. At $5/month, my Eleven subscription is probably the single best value proposition across all my many AI service subscriptions.

2025 was a big year for the Everything Marketplaces (@marketplaceshq) community. Here's a few highlights: -We made some big updates to our marketplace resources (Marketplace School, Marketplace Launch, Marketplace Jobs, etc) & community platform -We crossed 2,800+ marketplace founders & teams in the community -4,600+ posts & comments were shared in the community -We hosted 120+ events (online & offline) -900+ founders completed Marketplace School -$400M+ in capital was raised by the community + lots of other milestones & outcomes for community members A big thanks to everyone that helped make it all possible.
