So, almost no one is hiring junior devs.

Which means they need to study/practice longer, to get a job more like a mid-level.

So.. does it make them more even to other professions like lawyers or doctors, where they study 5+ years and can't get a job after a 3-month bootcamp?

I still think that for most of you, who are doing your regular 9-to-5 job and making a solid 50- 200k USD/GBP/EUR, I personally wouldn't advise angel investing to you.

I personally think it's gambling on that front. You are better off buying Crypto and stocks. Better yet, brick-and-mortar, like real estate, is better.

If you are spending, say, 20k yearly on angel cheques, and you don't have an income that generates this passively from, say, real estate or an income-generating business, you have no business doing this.

Obviously, my own opinion, but the odds are bordering on gambling for you. If you are not a known friend or someone I know well and trust, I won't give you shigbain.

Now, if you are making, say, 300k-ish, then you can do this. 20k yearly no go kill you, that's less than 10% of your gross, yo go dey okay. You can probably sustain this for 10 years, and then go 1,000 times, and you'll make your money.

Working on weekly digests for AI coding tool changelogs to telegram and maybe stop the auto-posting to X

also added some checks on whether to send a single notification based on importance of the items (i.e. sending a notification for a single bug fix is pointless!)

TLDR; I make software with AI and talk about it. Serial internet biz builder with multiple 6 & 7 figure exits. Always learning.

for my first startup I raised €200k
for the second I raised €500k

hired big teams both times & both failed.
one even went bankrupt - it was painful.

with big teams, you stop experimenting

because experimenting means people think you don't know where you go, you have no vision, and you eventually loose trust

so you stop pivoting, and you persist in a direction, even if it's bad

I have a new rule: 🛑 no hiring before PMF 🛑

I only work with co-makers
we share profit, ownership and freedom
and we just spend what we earn
