I see both sides of this argument. I love to build and ship my own stuff to VPS But also I often really can’t be arsed with complex pipelines when it costs <$100 a month on Vercel/Netlify/Cloudflare for most apps
TLDR; I make software with AI and talk about it. Serial internet biz builder with multiple 6 & 7 figure exits. Always learning.

If you're an indie hacker, every day should be Black Friday. You know how there’s a meme on Jan 1st every year that, if you’re truly serious about your goal, every day should be Jan 1st. You shouldn’t need some arbitrary date on the calendar to feel motivated to chase your dreams. Similarly, every day should be Black Friday. That’s the mindset I know I should have. Marketing is every day. Distribution is everything. Selling is for every entrepreneur. As entrepreneurs, our lives depend on it. I shouldn’t need permission to sell and promote from some arbitrary marketing campaign on a random date. The fact that even till now I feel more ‘free’ to self promote and sell during Black Friday season shows just how much more I have to go to get comfortable with marketing. Every day is Black Friday.
