There are two options here: 1. Affiliate marketing is a shitty business model. My reasoning for this is based on data. I almost never meet founders who tell me they are crushing it with affiliate marketing. 2. Affiliate marketing is a great business model, but business owners don't wanna share in fear of copycats or low barrier to entry. BUT here's the thing. Even if #2 was true, then it is still a shitty business model that I'd never wanna be in.

Two more things to consider when watching: 1. luck - some people just get a little lucky and stumble into a great niche, early to market, etc 2. past failures - if a business made $10K MRR in a week, there are usually several failures behind it that sometimes spanned years. Hope it's helpful!
