one thing I like about Pluribus (and that I doubt was intentional, given Gilligan's statements about AI) is that the human...borg? is very LLM-like: expansive knowledge covering every human alive, combined with (seemingly) unlimited patience and compassion

i don’t think there’s any politically acceptable way to address this because people are concerned about their parents in particular even when they know this extraction is monstrous in general. the only way out is massive economic growth without new subsidy of the old.
