Thankfully, Indian Muslim rule arrived at the scene, defeated & subdued Hindus, giving Jains breathing space - to which they owe their existence
As usual, Hindutva radicals are hurt and reacting in denial under the replies and quotes. But the irony is, Hindu texts themselves boast about their own community massacring Jains.
