Once I hit a certain amt of $, I stopped feeling in the need to maximize credit card rewards points and all that bullshit. I got a simple system now: everything on Delta Amex Reserve so I can get auto-business class upgrades on most flights in the US + lounges. But... if there's a more convenient non-Delta flight, i'm not gonna go out of my way to stick to Delta. Credit card rewards is such a stupid premise. They give you these mythical points and you have to use them in their shitty portals that make you wanna blow your brains out. Just get cash back or a miles card and use the rest of your time to make that money back doing something productive. Life is better this way.
