That's totally true for China but I think people underestimate how dangerous it would be to have a war now. The bet humanity is making is «we'll have enough tech to bail us out of social decay/resource exhaustion/dysgenics doom spiral». We need a few more years to lock that in.

The people who think that AI will create more jobs for people than those it destroys are 100% right. The catch of course is fully organic humans will fill almost none of these new jobs, other kinds of people will.
