Excited about the Genesis mission - congrats to @POTUS @SecretaryWright @ScienceUnderSec @mkratsios47 @sriramk! We've experienced first-hand how more openness and collaboration in the US can massively accelerate progress. In my opinion, that's what led to the current AI boom and US leadership from a time of extreme openness in 2017-2021 (for example with Google releasing Transformers for OpenAI to create ChatGPT). Returning to that spirit of openness and collaboration and applying it to AI for science, energy, robotics,... will be tremendously impactful! There are already thousands of open science models and datasets on Hugging Face (thanks to @cgeorgiaw and team), but we hope to see an order of magnitude more in the coming months, especially from great American federal organizations like the @departmentofenergy. What federal dataset would you like to see on @huggingface?
