It's not about saving money, it's actually about saving time and building something better and more customizable than you could with duct taped solutions. I'll share two small examples: 1. For getting feedback from our customers, I moved off Typeform and built something custom. It took me 20 minutes to vibe code, it lives directly inside our app, and now I don't have to finagle with the Typeform API to get the data into our reporting system etc. 2. For content analytics reporting, there are a lot of tools, but none of them really do everything we need. I need ours to integrate with 3rd party analytics data + our internal database sales data. It was easier to vibe code this. The entire premise of software as a service is that it's more efficient to pay for software than build it, but for SOME web app saas, that is no longer the case. In SOME cases, it's more efficient to build it yourself.
