Of course the Taiwanese also don't want to wage doomed guerilla warfare in the mountains, as US think tank bois ask of them. So I expect further face-saving from all sides and some tolerable 2 systems 1 country deal by 2040s, to the rage of bloodthirsty wumaos and burgers.
