To learn some web-dev topic, there are levels. Level 0: read/watch a tutorial, get familiar Level 1: practice something locally Level 2: launch a mini-project on a real remote server and simulate real behavior with large dataset For example, Laravel queues. You can practice locally to send a queueable email. Yay. It's something. But then, you can deploy a project on Digital Ocean and try to fire 1,000 emails with invoices created as PDF attachments. This is when the ACTUAL learning happens. Because, if you want to get a job/project around that concept, the employer/client wants PRACTICAL experience. Not your local tryout.
