My e-bike got stolen outside my SF apartment. $150 lock. Steep hill. Quiet street. I usually bring it inside. Last night I didn’t. I love SF - the tech, the people, the view, the food. But honestly, compared to most cities in China, it’s a lot less safe.

Life update: my bike’s in stealth mode. Here are some startup ideas: - End-to-end encryption for bikes - 2FA locks - AI-powered theft detection for SF We’re applying to YC W25 :)

If you’re considering entrepreneurship, don’t quit your job. Build it as a side project first. Hindsight is 20/20, but all my successful efforts were small-time side experiments first. While being (somewhat) safe due to an actual income.

I'm pretty neutral on the 4o debate. If our frontier labs were open source like china is, or if the rest followed suit with xai and released deprecated models, or the 4o people wisened up that unless the models are open, they have expiration dates, there isn't much to be done here.

I'm pretty neutral on the 4o debate. If our frontier labs were open source like china is, or if the rest followed suit with xai and released deprecated models, or the 4o people wisened up that unless the models are open, they have expiration dates, there isn't much to be done here.
