They said it couldn't be done!* But it's getting close! Search match styling will change, and there is no GUI for this yet. But we now have an end-to-end connection between the renderer, input stack, and search internals. *: Nobody said it couldn't be done.
Another amazing thing is that this video shows search AND scrollbars in the same video. The two most highly requested features since Ghostty launched and it really is all starting to happen. lol. (For those who don't know, tip releases have had scrollbars for a bit now)
