Let's Encrypt introduces its Generation Y certificate tier, which includes new root certificates, the deprecation of TLS client authentication, and the introduction of pure IP address certificates. The new Generation Y certificates are currently cross-signed by Generation X certificates (X1 and X2), and existing clients can directly trust Generation Y certificates. Starting this week, some users will see certificates signed by the Generation Y root certificate. #TLS #SSL #ACME
