i think TCP is actually The Cooked Protocol - lost streaming audio/video to WebRTC over UDP - lost AI/HPC to IB verbs over UDP, aka RoCE v2 - maybe it's gonna lose HTTP to QUIC?
it's sad, in a way -- the protocol has made it nearly half a century, across like 30 Moore's Law doublings
