Here's another fascinating, sprawling conversation I had recently with Claude where I learned all about the aftermath of the Norman conquest and the so-called "Harrying of the North," something I had never really thought much about (most accounts of the conquest are focused on the Battle of Hastings and not on the brutal suppression of the subsequent uprisings).
