Following a major DNS system outage, Amazon AWS has built a backup DNS system to enhance availability. The new feature, called Amazon Route 53 Accelerated Recovery, is offered free of charge and provides greater flexibility for customers who wish to adjust their DNS or modify their infrastructure should another Amazon DNS failure occur.
