not hyped up rn but really great release from Anthropic today alongside Opus4.5- programmatic code execution scripting is perfect for Python, deeply aligned in model training data, and also serves as form of “planning execution” where the model can bundle actions into the script, programmatic tool calling is just in time scripting for how to run several tools and other code in one go this aligns with the movement we’ve that’s been brewing for a while with MCPs —> tools should be grouped into compound semantic actions, not reflections of OpenAPI docs. We should do that and the model can also run groups of calls in code, saving tokens and round trips
