Below this tweet, I'll share 50 tips for creating viral content on my WeChat Official Accounts! These are my personal insights, hard-earned insights from over 10 WeChat Official Accounts. I didn't consult AI, only practical experience. I'm not guaranteed to be 100% accurate, but they'll definitely bring you some wealth!
1. The most important thing when choosing a topic for a viral article on a public account is not to follow the trend, but to focus on the emotions in the content! Express the emotions of the readers and give the article warmth!
2. For hot topics, you can go to various rankings, such as Xinbang, Zhihu, Weibo, Douyin, Toutiao, etc., but I usually subscribe to Xinbang’s “Low-Fan Explosive Articles List”. Only low-fan content that goes viral is in line with the trend!
3. Newly registered public accounts must be maintained. This is not metaphysics, but science. If you buy followers without publishing articles, your account will be destroyed. You need to publish content normally for at least 7 days before operating. The content must be of a certain quality and consistent with the account's positioning!
4. If you're looking for profit, I recommend creating viral content for your WeChat public account, focusing on emotional content and those related to seniors. Seniors love sharing and are generous with their likes and comments. Emotions are also the easiest topic to capture!
5. Position your official account based on entertainment, sports, emotions, professional interests, and hobbies, then gradually determine the weight. To make money, start with areas that are relevant and topical. Don't rely on your own opinions, rely on data! Don't touch on current affairs lightly. Doing it right can lead to problems, and doing it wrong can lower the account's weight.
6. The most common topics or content that can easily lead to a public account being banned include: politics, cryptocurrency (you might think this is unlikely, but based on my own experience with friends, it's quite common), borderline (unquestionable), fabricated news, violent outbursts (including language), and fortune-telling! There are other topics, which I'll cover later, but these are the ones most likely to get banned!
7. After reaching 500 followers, you can open a "traffic master" channel. You must open it as soon as possible. It doesn't matter if you lose followers later. The sooner you open it, the sooner you will earn money. Positive feedback will motivate you to continue.
8. Activating a traffic master account only costs 50-60 yuan. Go to Taobao and search for it, there are a lot of them! Don't be fooled, generally no one will cheat. It's relatively safe. Most of my accounts have been used for more than a year without any problems.
9. If you want to operate a matrix account, you need to prepare more mobile phone numbers. Generally, one real name can only be bound to five accounts. You need to open all personal subscription accounts. It is difficult to generate traffic with service accounts. However, you can bind multiple income accounts to one.
10. If a post goes viral, pay attention to several readership levels. If it reaches 10,000 readers in half an hour, it's a surefire hit. If it reaches 100,000-200,000 readers in 24 hours, monitor the growth of comments. If it reaches over 500,000 readers, monitor the comments. Excessive debate and extremism will result in throttling or manual review. Don't argue with the comments; remain silent and let the data run its course.
11. Comments are directly proportional to data, so when writing a viral article, be mindful of guiding the comments, intentionally setting up some points of contention, and avoid being too formal, giving readers something to criticize. Otherwise, there will be no comments! Opinions can be biased to provoke dissatisfaction on the other side.
12. Comments, likes, underlines, and fan data will all increase, and the system will give you red envelopes so that you can promote your articles. Don’t use this thing on popular articles, it’s a waste, and the volume will be very slow. Use it for cold start on other articles in the future, but pay attention to the time limit.
13. Matrix accounts only make sense if you use AI to mass-produce content. Use tools, plug-ins, anmp.weixin.qq.com/s/hpPKktciYb1-…oordinate AI output. I've written an article about 5,000 words, which costs about the same as a cup of coffee. If you're interested, you can take a look. Use your brain, and you can do it yourself!
14. The most important thing in running a public account is not writing skills, but the preliminary preparation work. The content library should be collected purposefully and placed in a Feishu document to make a multi-dimensional table, which can be used later when inspiration runs out.
15. Don’t habitually follow the trend. Although popular articles can become popular again, if you follow the trend too many times, you will become dependent on it. You will lack your own sensitivity to content and will not be suitable for producing high-quality content in the long term. Once the quality declines, you will be demoted!
16. When your article goes viral, there will be a lot of criticism. Don’t argue about it, as you may be easily complained about. Also, don’t show off on various platforms, as you may be plotted against by villains!
17. Each account should have a different topic. Once you decide on a topic, don't change it or mix up the content. This will deviate from the account's positioning and make it difficult to provide public traffic later.
18. Develop the habit of looking at data analysis, look at the "pull volume" and CPM value in the data, the higher the better! Especially CPM
19. Each article can have a maximum of two inserted ads. Make sure to fill them up to increase exposure, so the content must be at least 1,500 words. Otherwise, the insertion will not work properly!
20. It is not recommended to insert smart ads. I still hope you can manually find the location in the article and insert it manually. Otherwise, the layout will be disrupted, and the context will be disconnected, which is very inconsistent.
21. Open all comments, including original posts. Especially for comments, don't review them. Let them be selected directly from the beginning. Because the other party will be notified that they have been selected as a selected comment. If they come back to open the article again, they will be notified if there are comments. Open it again! Although the data will be counted as one, each time they come back, it will increase the possibility of commenting!
22. Explosive articles are the most dangerous when they become popular. You must always pay attention to changes in data, especially the number of comments. If it slows down, the popularity of the article may decline. The general period of popularity is 3 days, but it can also last for more than 3 days.
23. To pass the originality test, you need matrix.tencent.com/ai-detect/ text detection on the article written by AI. The Suzaku model can be used for inspection, and it is free.
24. Using professional instructions to remove the AI flavor, Deepseek articles can now be directly tested by large models. Very powerful!
25. Try to use links to other articles or recommend related articles in your articles, so that the popular articles can drive the exposure of other long-tail articles.
26. When using pictures in articles, be careful not to directly save picture materials from other articles. Use screenshots instead, because pictures also contain MD5 data and may have copyright or watermarks. Screenshots can solve this problem. Also, use more pictures from netizen comments or free pictures from third parties. Once they become famous, they may be hidden dangers.
27. Select the content library above and use a plugin to convert the article into Markdown format, which makes it easier for AI to recognize and organize the content. It can also generate an outline or summary, allowing it to find unique writing angles. I've provided the plugin in the article.
28. After publishing your content, don't rush to share it. Let it grow naturally, otherwise you won't be able to analyze the data later. Don't try to get likes yourself. It's normal if the data is not good. Don't be too concerned about gains and losses. Continue with the next article!
29. The person or event you want to write about should be topical. This will be more effective, and the title should create suspense. Don't use clickbait titles; they are meaningless.
30. Regarding title writing techniques, ask the AI to summarize. If you use the instructions I've written, it should already cover this part. Come up with 5-10 titles, but don't necessarily choose just one. Alternatively, combine the advantages of several titles into one. Then write them and let the AI score them based on the criteria for a hit title. Humans have a certain sensitivity to what they write!
31. When you find a popular article, immediately analyze why it became popular. Frequently look for articles in "Look", save the content in markdown format, feed it to AI to help analyze it, and then summarize it into your template format for future use. Next time, you can use different format structures to write different content.
32. We should view the people or organizations that create viral content from the platform's perspective. Their advertising fees are expected to generate high-quality content, not people who frequently exploit the platform. Therefore, having multiple accounts and multiple viral articles is a good thing, but having a single account and many viral articles is not a good thing. Mi Meng is an example of this.
33. Popular content will likely re-popularize at some point, so it's important to document in advance which events are representative of the timeframe. These might include special events, special products, or special people. For example, if Big S passed away, you could use your previous articles as material and approach the topic from a different angle.
34. The algorithm for WeChat Official Accounts has changed. It now has a higher return than Toutiao. People should focus on the ROI here, rather than blindly going to Toutiao to post junk content. It's meaningless.
35. Update one article every day. Don’t send out too many articles in bulk. One excellent article will take up a lot of energy. You should create high-quality content instead of measuring data by quantity. When you have too many junk articles, your weight will be reduced and you will be dropped out of the traffic pool.
36. If you have a viral article with over 500,000 views, your traffic should be between 2,000 and 3,000 the next day and the next three days. If it suddenly drops to a few dozen or a few hundred one day, it's because the content is poor quality and has fallen out of the traffic pool. Don't worry, your account isn't dead! Keep updating and it will come back. But there's one important point, which I'll discuss in the next article.
