Today, I visited @EzaNezaRwanda, an #agritech startup specializing in #hydroponics and #greenhouse farming in Rwanda. They use an innovative soil-less #indoor farming hydroponics technique that helps them to grow #strawberry efficiently and optimally. #RwandaAgriShow2022
Eza Neza Signifies “cultivate well “in Kinyarwanda; a fitting name for this project because they will employ 80% less water, 80% less land and produces 30% more yield compared to conventional farming methods
They cultivate in a greenhouse-controlled environment which is not reliant on weather conditions while ensuring a supply of quality-controlled nutrients resulting in bigger and faster yields.
Eza Neza aims not just to grow strawberries and other foods but to do it in the most efficient and sustainable way possible using less water, fertilizer and land while producing the safest products for their customers.
It was a really nice experience to learn also the automated irrigation systems which Eza Neza uses to save a lot of water and fertilizer costs.
