/ I get the story behind the volumetric documentary ZANZIBAR: TROUBLE IN PARADISE that premiered at Tribeca on @LKGGlass' 65-in Holographic Display by talking with @springbokvr & co-directors of the piece on how they used iPhone's video + spatial data.
/ ICYMI: Here's my conversation with @LKGGlass CEO @shawninvents breaking down their latest 65-in Holographic Display & some of the underlying tech innovations that makes it work. It's pretty a magical portal into another realm.
/ EXHIBITION A combined 3D emoji gestures & a social VR watch party on top of a 360 video survey of PoC Artists in Portland, Maine. I spoke with @janaesound (@wearecywoc) & @theoliciousphd, who collaborated with @tripdragon & @semateos (@YARNCORPORATION).
/ LGBTQ+ VR MUSEUM won the inaugural Tribeca Immersive New Voices Award for it's curation of touching objects & stories telling a collective story. I spoke with @AntoniaRForster about her unique journey into VR & producing this piece with @TTerkildsen:
/ One of the biggest provocations from Tribeca Immersive was PLANET CITY VR, a speculative architecture thought experiment of relocating all 10B people on the planet into one city the size of Texas. I unpack it all with @liam_young in my favorite convo:
/ REACHYOU is an exploration of Slow Media AR storytelling bringing you transmissions from the future to connect to the tenderness of now. I do a deep dive with husband-and-wife team @jgmakes & @inlovethere unpacking their iterative process & journey.
/ Here's a recording of the Tribeca Talks I moderated on "Making a Difference with Immersive Non-Fiction Stories" featuring creators from CONTAINER, INTRAVENE, & PLEASE, BELIEVE ME. Covers structure & forms of immersive storytelling + lots of challenges:
