Call me unimpressed w/ @harvard here: "Harvard Office of the General Counsel to Review Epstein Donations" thecrimson.com/article/2019/9… 1/n
First, @harvard took and kept spending millions of $$ from Jeffrey Epstein and snuggled up close to him and let him get embedded him in multiple programs including that of @DrMANowak 2/n
@Harvard @DrMANowak And many others at @harvard boosted Jeffrey Epstein's reputation and palled around with him in various ways 3/n
And when finally confronted with this when the horrifying details of Jeffrey Epstein were out in the open what did @harvard say "The university has no plans to return the $6.5 million to Epstein"
@Harvard And then, as others at least started some sort of apologizing (much of it lame I would note) what did @harvard say? -- nothing - crickets - for months
@Harvard And then, finally, a few weeks ago @harvard says something and it is almost utterly useless and disingenuous
@Harvard So now we find out that @harvard's general counsel will be investigating the $$ trail - thecrimson.com/article/2019/9… - that means it is time for more covering up
@Harvard After all - what is the job of @harvard Office of the General Counsel? To protect the university and their staff & faculty --- so this is not the group we need now - we need an independent investigation
@Harvard As a @harvard alum I am calling on @harvard to bring in an independent group to investigate the history of connections to child rapist Jeffrey Epstein cc: @HarvardAlumni @thecrimson @HarvardMagazine
