# An Ode to Colab Google Colab is an unsung hero of the AI era. the ability to run any code for free at any time -- and share with other people -- has been invaluable for me as a student, researcher, and teacher google has provided free (GPU!) compute to students & researchers since at least 2020. there are no ads; they don't force you to use jax or TPUs. you can use it for whatever you want. and it's completely free colab is the best thanks big G
