Since my former colleagues at @a16z are RIAs and thus cannot legally comment on what they can/cannot say "with a straight face" to LPs, this sounds a lot like what crappy board members say. They think they understand your business in depth and make inane comments about what you should/should not do, when as an outside observer, they have zero clue what actually happens day-to-day in the business. Buyer beware.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend today's Veteran's Day ceremony at @ArlingtonNatl and to see @POTUS honor our veterans on this very special day. VC's whining about losing deals because of valuation (i.e., the winning firm overpaid) is the moral equivalent of sales reps complaining about losing a deal because their competitor undercut them on price. Both are lies losers tell.
