I agree with Tibo. Having an audience helps, sure, but most successful founders don't have an audience. I've also seen many who have big audiences who don't make much money. Building an audience and making money are two different skills. A superpower if you combine both.

Honest answer: I think just competing with them on the same things like cost and quality and brand as Western brands always did The Luckin example is one where you see a 3x cheaper competitor quickly takes the market from Starbucks though Western brands might be too expensive (especially if tarrifs are involved)
