Something on my mind: Coding agents have, without question, eaten a lot of what my job used to be as a full stack dev. But I’m busier than ever. My plate is always full. I feel stretched most of the time. There’s a mounting time pressure the increases with the capabilities of these tools. Future tasks are pulled into the present by Claude or codex. But we aren’t running out of things to do. The roadmap never gets shorter. And that’s been the experience of programmers since programming became a job.
