Pretty sure this will be a solved problem for most tractable data analysis problems in the next few years. All those Kaggle contests to do RL across. I think a big part will be using multimodal models and getting the agents to use tons of graphs to slice and dice and visualize.

corollary: it's important not to confuse prototypes with production

it's so much more tempting now because they can feel so real — why not just ship it?!

but eng as a discipline exists for a reason (quality, security, etc etc). if you're not carrying a pager (i.e. accountable), you probably shouldn't be checking code into production
