Why yes, NYT, it is not unusual to pray for your spouse’s conversion. It’s also not unusual to spend years persuading your husband that actually, Christmastime starts tomorrow and the trees are going up. What is a marriage if not an eternal negotiation and spar?
In fact this exact thing has happened many times (e.g. someone offering to pay someone to defend their preferred decision theory), while XOR blackmail has probably never happened once in the history of the world.
