The true potential of x402 comes from it's ability to foster emergence. My hot take: general, agentic intelligence is most likely to emerge from a primordial soup of millions of web resources, accessible to the next billion intelligences, and not limited by a million API keys or human-gated billing processes. my hobby is honing my ChatGPT detection skills. lesson 1: the contrastive negation. "It's not just an idea. It's a revolution" "It's not x. It's y" "You don't want x. You want y." most of the internet is now infected with this rhetorical structure. it's the most obvious ChatGPTism I've found. the writer either used an LLM or has been one-shotted by them. Avoid at all costs.
