IBGS: Image-Based Gaussian Splatting Contributions: i) We propose an image-based Gaussian Splatting pipeline that captures both high-frequency details and view-dependent effects, which are challenging for prior methods to address. ii) We introduce a color residual module that leverages training images to achieve better rendering quality with fewer Gaussians. iii) We introduce an exposure correction strategy, improving the brightness of images rendered from any viewpoint by mimicking the exposure settings of their nearest neighboring view.
