This is simply a false rewriting of history through a feminist grievance lens. She may have taken the picture, but it was Francis Crick’s mathematical sophistication and knowledge of Bessel functions that allowed him to recognize that this image implied a specific helical symmetry, something that escaped Franklin and Wilkins.
The worst part is that this nonsense is now being parroted back by AI models like Claude unless you know enough to push back on them. Scary for the future, when more and more people defer to AI as an arbiter of truth.

This past week I watched Claude decompile PPTX files and recompiles them with edits just from single prompts. The daily input/outputs of the *average* fortune 1000 worker are already in distribution of these models. The product layer is what is missing.
