okay yes this is true, but the app would have made $5000 no matter what it was with the hard paywall and 40,000 downloads! the reason i turned my app into a pig simulator with love notes and not just a love notes app is because i took a look around and saw a ton of awesome apps doing something similar with a proven revenue and a ton of users. but when i looked for just basic apps that did basic things like love notes, for couples, i realized no one pays for this, it’s not enough to justify a subscription, and it’s not retentive in nature. it’s not a WHOLE app it’s just a small feature that should probably be free in a bigger app and i wanted an app that i would use and have fun using with my finances, so i started making my app into a tamagotchi pet pig simulator with love notes and heart points that let you send donuts to your partner. of course it took a week for me to realize how wild this all is, and of course im lost after hitting it big and then changing everything. will be wild to see what happens next 😂
