i was really serious about this and thus have moved completely to api now. even if i use claude code, i do it with api - 2-2.5x faster response times, no limits that i hit on individual usage and i can augment the harness externally as i want. expectations from interns/juniors have increased a lot in hiring as well. you have to know how to add value (reliability/ownership/expectation management) to really set yourself apart.
