Wow, I last messed around with Suno (the song making AI) in May 2024, when it was at version 3.5. They’re now on version 5, so I was curious to see how things have progressed since then. And… it’s wild. It reminds me of the leap from the original Will Smith spaghetti video to Sora. It’s fun to take random lyrics, like these ones from Clare’s Dragoons, an Irish song about the the Battle of Ramillies (1706) during the War of the Spanish Succession, and have it try to fit it to various anachronistic musical styles:
