Interesting fact: DeepSeek's multi-token prediction in V3 (Dec 2024) builds on EAGLE (Jan 2024) and cites Meta's MTP (Apr 2024) as "inspiration". By now MTP is becoming standard in Chinese models. Meta's LLaMA 4 (Apr 2025) does not use MTP (or much of anything).
