The following arc still seems right to me for software creators. Unfortunately though there are many who create software that have wrapped their identity and life's work around "software engineering" and being "a good programmer." They're in trouble.

The following arc still seems right to me for software creators. Unfortunately though there are many who create software that have wrapped their identity and life's work around "software engineering" and being "a good programmer." They're in trouble.

To clarify, I don't think software engineering skill will be as useful blacksmithing in a year, because we will still be 'technical PMs'. That comes later. But it will be ridiculous to think humans *must* sanity check the code. The AI will outperform humans on code review.
