100% If I was starting over from scratch, I would still pick RUBY ON RAILS. Why? Because it's opinionated: - LLMs know best practices, so it's less likely to hallucinate. - If you need some help from a "real coder", a Rails dev can come in quickly and with minimal cost. - ActiveRecord is a gift from god. I know stuff like Next.js never really figured it out.

For anybody doing this without VC, solo, bootstrapped: THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS: 1. Becoming more confident in yourself & your ideas (belief, conviction) 2. Getting over the fear of putting yourself out there (distribution, attention, fear of rejection) 3. Having the patience to build in a space for years (and not jump around every month) 4. Ability to think from first principles (being original, understanding when to copy, when to not) 5. Persistence, routine, habits (2 hours of deep work every day) 6. Ability to figure things out yourself (bias for action) This list is not comprehensive but it's what comes to mind right now, hope it's helpful to someone out there.
