A lot of “pre AI” companies see having an AI strategy as more of a marketing glow-up or an efficiency driver around the margins. Of course it can meaningfully change the long-term potential of a company. More subtly, we hear increasingly about it as a talent acquisition / retention strategy too. Tech companies that don’t have a real way to use AI run the risk of losing employees - this sounds obvious, but people want to work at places that aren’t going to be left behind!
