The main valuable skill at this point seems to be your ability to break big goals down into steps appropriately sized for the model. And that doesn’t really require much software experience

"AI Coding will get you 80% there, but software needs to be 100% there. That last 20% also means you need to understand all the code the AI generated. It reminds me of managing another developer; you wait 2 weeks for them to implement a feature. You get impatient and decide to try. You finish implementing it in 2 hours. Why? They overcomplicated it! LLMs are trained on average code, and most of it is over-engineered. So today, I'm reimplamenting this mess so I can actually merge it. Curious if you have prompting techniques to avoid LLMs from overcomplicating a big feature. Or maybe you don't trust it to do core engineering work?
