You can use https://t.co/4PJvda0eDy to cross-check values and bit patterns for quantized floating point numbers from the @OpenComputePrj's Microscaling Formats (MX) spec -- both variants of both fp8 & fp6, the scaling-only e8m0 format, and the minuscule fp4.
